Consultation has concluded
As the Saint John Fire Department undertakes the creation of a new strategic plan, the community, residents, businesses and visitors have the opportunity to contribute to its development through a Community Needs Survey. You will find a link to the survey below as well as an open ended question for comments and feedback to the department and services. This feedback will be considered along with a full review of the current programs and services, opportunities and restraints will be conducted to provide direction to the department and awareness to the community we serve.
With over 160 firefighters, command, training, fire prevention, and support staff at six strategically located fire stations and one training academy, the Saint John Fire Department services 315 square kilometers of urban, rural, and undeveloped land to the City of Saint John's 75,000 residents.
The feedback received from this Community Needs Survey will assist in better understand the community's needs, expectations and concerns related to fire and rescue services. It will help inform decisions on the prioritization of services, and help identify critical needs and areas for improvement.
