At points along Main Street, such as in this image that is close to the Tim Horton’s, pedestrians and cyclists will transition between dedicated sidewalks and bike lanes and a multi-purpose path. The key along the entire Main Street route is for pedestrians to stay on the furthest to the side of the road, as shown by the blue line with cyclists remaining between pedestrians and motorists as shown by the green line. At the point of transition to and from a multi-purpose path, there is a need for motorists to yield to crossing cyclists and pedestrians, but cyclists and pedestrians should proceed with caution.
